The challenge
The trust operates various care units (clinics and hospitals) within their region. They wanted to find a way in which they could communicate with their patients in a way that was standardised across all 25 sites but was dynamic and informative.
The solution
Teksmart® undertook a thorough site survey across all locations and proposed a range of wall-mounted and freestanding networked solutions which suited the space available. The proposal comprised specifically of 20 x 32” wall-mounted poster displays and 5 x 47” freestanding displays. All screens had integrated Wi-Fi connectivity and I3-PC media players and therefore screen content could be controlled from head-office’s IT department. The message can be changed and scheduled to suit the specific day and time.
Result
The digital signage system (compiling of 25 x screens across their network) works great and head-office is able to easily control the screen content to update information. The screens are used to present important information and welcome visitors on arrival. It has proven particularly advantageous at communicating with the younger generation who are more interested in viewing a ‘screen’ rather than traditional poster.
